Ghost Masala

Gosht Masala by Rubab Zehra

Serves 5

Ingredients:
  1. 125 gms Mutton Cubes
  2. 500 gms Sliced Onion
  3. 1 kg Tomatoes (Chopped)
  4. 75 gms Hanson’s Ginger-Garlic Paste
  5. 150 ml Oil
  6. 30 ml Lemon Juice
  7. 75 gms Ghee
  8. 3 gms Cinnamon
  9. 2 gms Cardamom
  10. 2 gms Clove
  11. 30 gms Coriander Powder
  12. 30 gms Cumin Powder
  13. 60 gms Hanson’s Red Chilli Paste
  14. 10 gms Black Cardamom Powder
  15. 20 gms Fennel Powder
  16. 75 gms Fresh Coriander (Chopped)
  17. Salt (for taste)
  18. Julienned Ginger for Garnishing

 

Method:

Heat oil in a large saucepan, add cinnamon, cardamom & add clove to it. When the spices begin to splutter, add onion & sauté until golden. Add Hanson’s Ginger-Garlic Paste & mutton cubes & sauté on low heat. Add coriander, cumin, Hanson’s Red Chilli Paste, turmeric powders & salt. Add water, cover the pan & allow the meat to cook. When the meat is almost done, add tomatoes & allow to cook for some more time on low heat. Flavor the dish with lemon juice, black cardamom & fennel powders. Garnish with ginger, coriander & butter. Serve with chapattis.
